Wedding Planning with Pinterest

Wedding Planning with Pinterest
I usually write about how Pinterest has inspired me to try something new, but I also really enjoy learning about how other creative people have used Pinterest as well.  Today I've got a really beautiful story to share with you of how one person used Pinterest to plan her wedding.  I absolutely love the colors she chose and how she created a theme from the save the date and wedding announcements to the reception.  I hope you enjoy her Pinterest story as much as I did!

Hello Pin Junkie Readers! I'm Glai, a happy wife, financial analyst by day, blogger and homemaker by night and weekends. I love to learn, travel, plan events, cook, bake, eat, create and collect everything nice and I write about them in my blog: Oh My Glai! Discoveries In and Out of Home.

I am also happily addicted to Pinterest! I discovered it when I was planning my wedding and I was searching for ideas and inspirations in Google. Most of the search results directed me to Pinterest boards and my life completely changed after that!  Pinterest is really a life saver when it comes to organizing events and completing projects because it makes bookmarking links easy and enjoyable.

I'm excited to share how this lovely tool inspired and helped me achieve the wedding of my dreams. One of the first steps in planning a wedding is deciding on the theme and color motif.  My favorite color is pink and my husband's favorite color is blue.  But we chose navy blue to have a more balanced and matured look.  Here are some of the ideas that I pinned to my navy blue and pink wedding board:

And here are the ideas turned into reality:

I still feel the happiness of that special day even now! I'm very thankful to my photographer, Nez Cruz for the awesome shots; to my graphic designer The Pretty Palette by OJ for the cute wedding stationeries; to my floral designer and event stylist Jacqs Floral Design Studio for the beautiful bouquet and props; to my own resourcefulness in gathering all the pins on the inspiration boards; and of course to Pinterest for being a good online resource for wedding planning.

My tip for brides out there is to use Pinterest wisely.  Photos can be overwhelming because there are thousands of them!  Make sure you limit the number of pins on a board, it will also help you in communicating with your wedding vendors or suppliers because the boards are not cluttered.

Thank you so much Bonnie for giving me the opportunity to share my Pinterest story of being inspired and turning my ideas into reality!
