Upon returning home, she finds out that her fiance has unceremoniously kicked her out of their house with no explanation at all and she gets fired from her job. Lucy didn't see any of this coming and she certainly wasn't planning on getting hit by a bus. Her quick departure from life causes her to be stuck as a ghost in between the worlds of the living and the dead. And she has some unfinished business to take care of.
