Book Review: Lunatics

Lunatics

How does a referee's call at an AYSO championship soccer game lead to two men becoming wanted international criminals?  You'll have to read Lunatics by Dave Barry and Alan Zweibel to find out.  Lunatics is the fictional story of Philip Horkman, an optimistic, play-the-rules kind of guy who owns a pet shop and referees youth soccer games on weekends.  Jeffrey Peckerman is a loudmouth, insensitive and intolerant guy who is a forensic plumber.  They meet at a soccer game and quickly wish their paths had never crossed.  They soon find themselves on the run from everything from the New York city police, bears, pirates, and international terrorists.  You won't believe the bizarre situations these two characters get themselves into.   One outrageous event leads to another in this wildly entertaining and fun novel.
