DIY TARDIS and Dalek Doctor Who Paper Crafts

I'm a huge fan of British television and Doctor Who in particular.

For those of you who don't know what Doctor who is, it's a science fiction television series about a being (The Doctor) from Gallifrey.  His world has been destroyed, so he travels all of time and space, but seems to end up in the UK frequently.  He is also able to regenerate, which means he never dies, he just assumes a new body.  This is a really handy power to have since the show has been on since 1963 and there have been several different doctors.  Some of the older shows in the series are really cheesy, but the newer ones are terrific!

The Doctor travels in the TARDIS which stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space.  The Doctor's ship can disguise itself in order to blend into its surroundings, but the chameleon circuit got stuck in the 1960's so it's always disguised as a police phone box.  It's also bigger on the inside.  Go here for the printable Tardis.

In his travels, The Doctor encounters many evil creatures.  Daleks are some of the most evil creatures because they are efficient killing machines.  They hate all other life forms and view them as inferior.  They work tirelessly and relentlessly to rid the universe of all "inferior" life forms with their toilet plungers and deathly laser beams while screaming "Exterminate! Exterminate! Exterminate!"  like they've had way too much caffeine.  Go here for the printable Dalek.  (There are tons of other cool paper crafts at this site too!)

I know this sounds like a very silly show (and it kind of is, that's one of the reasons why I like it!) but it really is very good.  If you're a fan, you know exactly what I'm talking about and you'll probably love making these paper models as much as I did.  If you're not a fan, then you probably know one.  You can make these paper models for them and they'll love you forever!  Just print, cut out, fold, and tape together! Allons-y!

  1. Awesome! My guestroom theme is TARDIS blue. My reocuring guest is my step son and we turned him onto doctor who last summer. I am going to print these out for him. Not sure if I want to make them myself or have them ready for him to make.

    1. Blue is my all time favorite color and TARDIS blue would be really neat! I'm sure your step-son will enjoy making these models himself. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. I haven't watched Who since Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor. I just couldn't get into the huge switch to David Tennant (sp??). Anyway, my daughter is now URGING me to watch those because he's so clever. Okay, but character loyalty is tough on me. Anyway, I'm making the TARDIS and the Dalek for this weekend when our grandkids will be here. They will be SO IMPRESSED. Thanks. :-)
