So I realize I'm probably the very last person in the world to join the washi tape craze, but on a recent trip to the dollar store, I found some Christmas washi tape.  At a dollar apiece, I couldn't resist and got five rolls.  Have you ever used washi tape before?  It's like masking tape, but it has pretty patterns and it's great for dressing up plain items.  I used my washi tape to add some Christmas cheer to some plain old gift tags and gift bags.

Washi Tape

It's easy to turn plain tags into gift tags with just a strip of washi tape!

I also added some washi tape to some plain gift bags to make them pretty.

To make the washi tape Christmas tree, just cut out a triangle from thick card stock or cardboard and apply the tape across the triangle.  Wrap the tape around the edges of the triangle (no one will see the back) and glue the triangle onto the bag.
