I received a copy of Craft Fail to review.  All opinions are my own.

Have you ever tried making something from Pinterest and it went horribly wrong?  Sooner or later, it happens to everyone.  It starts innocently and with the good intentions of making something creative and homemade, but things don't go as planned.  Craft Fail When Homemade Goes Horribly Wrong is a humorous collection of crafts and recipes collected by Heather Mann, the creator of CraftFail.com, showing homemade projects that have gone awry.

You might think that laughing at people and their craft fails is rather mean spirited.  Instead of a negative tone however, this book celebrates the creative process and the brave crafters who are willing to put their mistakes out for all the world to see.  I really admire Heather's optimistic view.  She explains in the book that failure isn't always a bad thing.  Failure is often a chance to learn something new and she admits she's learned the most from her failures.  Failure is a big part of the creative process!

Craft Fail is a fun, light-hearted view of crafters laughing at themselves and their craft fails.  It contains over 100 full color photographs of the original project and the inspired fails. If you're a Pinterest addict, you might recognize some of the popular projects and recipes that have made the rounds on Pinterest.  Craft Fail is definitely a fun read and it makes a great gift for a crafty (or not so crafty) friend.

And just in case you thought I didn't have any craft fails, take a look at these!
