Learning To Be A Better Photographer

Learn to be a better photographer
I don't know anything about photography, but that hasn't stopped me from entering three different photo competitions!  I've been trying to teach myself to take better pictures.  I have a very basic point and shoot camera, not a fancy DSLR.  I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a camera.  Plus I'm a bit intimidated by all the functions a new camera would have.  A few weeks ago, I shared some of my pictures of the sunflowers in my back yard.  Today I thought I'd share a few more of my pictures.

I love taking pictures of flowers!
These are all from my yard!

A few years ago, our family took a trip to Yellowstone and stopped at The Grand Tetons.  We were really lucky to have a sunny day.  On the way back, the mountains were covered with clouds.

My three pictures didn't win any ribbons at the state fair, but I've entered a second competition and I'll need your vote to win!  Voting ends September 23.  Just click the picture below and it will take you to the website to vote.  I would really appreciate it!  {Hugs!}

I took this picture in Santa Fe
this summer.

I've entered a third photography competition and really can't wait to share the pictures I've entered!  I'll share them in about a month when the winners are announced.

  1. your pictures look great...I don't have a fancy camera either, just a Canon Power Shot - I find my photos outdoors turn out so much better than my inside ones...congrats on entering the contests - here's hoping you win!!

    1. Thanks Cheryl! I have the same kind of camera! I agree, natural light is always the best to take good pictures.
